A day in the life of a Financial Accounting Analyst

As Financial Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for and contribute to:

●      Providing in a clear and concise manner an explanation on the evolutions of our (Off-)Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) figures;

●      Performing ad hoc analysis / in-depth analytical reviews;

●      Acting as a gatekeeper for our Accounting and Reporting disclosures;

●      Empowering your colleagues by supporting them with key financial analyses.

You are a self-starting and critical individual willing to zoom in, in order to zoom out. Furthermore, you have:

The team

The Ledger Management & Analysis team is part of the Center of Expertise (CoE) Financial Accounting Control & Advice within the Financial Management department. The CoE is composed of 3 teams: Finance Treasury, Lending & Commercial Bank and Ledger Manager & Analysis.

The team consists of 6 members in Brussels. Furthermore, we receive support from our FA Hub in The Philippines. We work in a hybrid setup: 50% division between working from home and at the office.

The scope of Ledger Management & Analysis team is twofold. As the name states, the team covers ‘Ledger Management’ and ‘Analysis’.

We are currently hiring for the ‘Analysis’ sub-domain (which consists of 2 persons). You work in close collaboration with your direct colleague as well as your manager. You are in daily contact with other Finance colleagues.

The team operates in an environment providing accounting according to both Belgian and IFRS accounting rules with strict timelines and applies high level quality standards to the information delivered to its stakeholders being the different Executive and Business Management bodies of ING, internal/external auditors, and the Regulatory authorities (ECB, NBB).
