ING TALENT PROGRAMME
Starting area OPERATIONS & IT BANKING
The ING Talent Programme (ITP) is a three-year traineeship with seven starting areas and is based in the Netherlands. We also welcome English speaking graduates to apply for three starting areas in the ING Talent Programme. One of these starting areas is Operations & IT Banking.
Operations & IT Banking
Information Technology is the primary process that keeps the bank working. At Operations & IT Banking we provide processing support to all our business units worldwide. The decisions we make have a major impact on the way we do business. Thanks to us, our customers receive the mortgages, credit cards and insurance policies that they have been promised by the ING’s sales divisions. Of course, this also means that they will instantly notice when processes do not run as planned.
Therefore we rely on a pro-active team that keeps us going and gives us the essential strategic advantage. Are you the ambitious, talented colleague we are looking for, eager to shape our future? Do you see the vital difference between good and better? If so, then Operations & IT Banking is the starting area for you. You have flair, good human relations skills and a good share of organisational sensitivity. A technical background is preferred however not obliged. What counts is your ambition, personality and your motivation to build up a varied career within Ops & IT!
PROGRAMME
The curriculum is a unique opportunity for hands-on experience. In your first challenging project year you will find out which field suits you best. Next, you will expand your knowledge, skills and network in a two-year position. With cutting-edge innovations you will lead us into the future. By rapidly responding to changing customer demands, you will make sure we cross that finish line first.
TRAINING
- ING International Graduate Programme: an exclusive three-week programme for ING trainees from all over the world. This programme focuses on getting to know ING and our winning performance culture. You will have the opportunity to broaden your network and to get to know the senior managers within ING.
- Depending on your wishes and learning objectives a specific training route will be prepared for you.
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
In ING Operations & IT, your customers consist of various internal business lines or divisions such as Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, ING Direct Germany and ING Belgium.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- You are a Master’s graduate, preferably a technical background, with no more than two years of work experience;
- You want to start your career in the Netherlands;
- You are customer oriented, ambitious and pro-active.
- You are interested in managing processes and applying IT solutions. With regard to the latter we do not expect extensive knowledge on ‘bits and bytes level’ but you should know what goes on within an IT environment;
- You are sensitive, a good listener and are sharp when problem analysis and formation of a judgment are concerned;
- You are eager to learn, open for feedback, and dare to challenge the status quo;
- You have the ambition to, in time, become a manager;
- You must be eligible to work within European Union countries.
TYPE OF JOB OFFER
We offer you permanent employment on the basis of a 36-hour working week and a local (Dutch) contract.
SALARY & BENEFITS
ING offers you a salary in conformity with the market. Moreover, there are many training possibilities and you will take advantage of excellent contemporary employment conditions such as an options regulation, 13th month and attractive discounts on, among others, mortgages and insurances.
