Formulemanager Branches, Retail, The Netherlands

After an amazing time in college, I came into contact with ING. I immediately liked the organisational culture which was, both result-orientated and, informal in terms of contact between colleagues.

I decided to enrol in a traineeship and after a tough selection period I started the ING Talent Program in stream marketing. This traineeship fitted my interest for marketing and my focus on personal growth and was the best combination possible for me.

This was my first working experience so I had no idea what to expect. I started at RVS, a Dutch insurance company and immediately I was challenged to do a job I had never done before. Because of great coaching I enjoyed my first job in RVS a lot. At the same time I came in contact with all other Dutch trainees who started in the same internship. It was great to get to know each other, having training sessions together and sharing experiences.

After another project for Postbank shops, I was asked to do a brief assignment in India. ING challenged me as a new employee to acquire a totally different experience with ING in a country which was the opposite of the Netherlands. It definitely was a challenge, personally and professionally. I feel ING gave me these opportunities to grow as a person.

After three months in India I was happy to go back to my friends, family and colleagues. My next was with a great team of colleagues working as hard as they could, preparing for ING and Postbank to become one bank: with one branch for both types of customers. It’s a challenging job and I am happy to be a part of this team.

For me ING has a lot of opportunities to offer: exciting roles and a focus on me as a person who wants to grow. Let’s see what ING brings me in the future and what I will deliver to ING. I am looking forward to it!
