ING Private Bank Manila operates in teams. As a
Marketing Associate, I am in charge of responding to client
enquiries and instructions and advising and resolving issues and
requests. I listen in on morning conference calls with our Active
Advisory Group in Singapore and update clients on current market
conditions and ING’s in-house views. With these tasks, I am
constantly learning about the mechanisms of common financial
products and services.
Client Interfacing is a big part of my daily
routine. I learn how to deal with different kinds of clients and my
relationship skills have definitely improved. One of the perks of
my job is attending client call presentations with my Relationship
Managers where we wine and dine our clients while discussing their
portfolios. In this way, we build good relationships in a relaxed
environment.
The ING Private Bank Manila office is vibrant,
energetic and has a very family-oriented atmosphere. The senior
managers and junior officers support each other to accomplish tasks
and everyone is friends outside the office. During my interview
with our Managing Director, I instantly felt the strong sense of
teamwork and winning performance culture.
The highlight of my career was the three-week
ING International Graduate Program in the Netherlands. It opened my
eyes to how big ING is worldwide and its different business lines.
Private Bank Manila may be considered a small player in the greater
scheme of ING Group; however, after IIGP, I understood that ING
gives importance to each and every one of its business lines and
offices. It gave me a sense of belonging and motivated me to work
harder.
After two years with ING Private Banking, I am
still in the same team and same position. However, my
responsibilities are greater. The knowledge I have gained in terms
of products and soft skills are irreplaceable and I have no doubt
that I can reach my full potential with ING.
