We are looking for a Domain/IT Architect with experience or a broad interest, especially in the areas of Enterprise Content and Automation (ECA) and Know Your Customer (KYC).

 

A day in the life of an Architect

The focus of your architecture activities will be to establish resilient solution architectures for business and IT problems in line with the ING Belgium and ING Group strategy.

Our job purpose is to translate business vision and strategy into effective (enterprise) architectures by creating, communicating and improving the key principles and models that describe the future state and enable its evolution to deliver the IT Architecture for the organization and its customers.

You will work within the ING Belgium Tech department in the Centre of Expertise (CoE) Architecture. You will closely collaborate with the engineering community and the local and ING Group architecture community. You will be supported by a chapter lead focussing on your professional evolution and an Enterprise architect focussing on the content of the domains you are working in.

The domain architect

       Executes the global Business & IT Roadmap process, with centralised designs and (logical) global decompositions

       Draft, communicate and get approval for your IT architecture solution designs towards the target state, and applies global standards and solutions where possible

       Drafts logical IT Roadmaps, monitors and manages the progress of the execution of Business & IT-Roadmaps towards the target state

As a candidate for this vacancy, you will also need:

       Master/Postgraduate degree or equal by experience

       At least 3 to 5 years of demonstrated relevant professional experience

       Affinity with the architecture practice

       TOGAF, ArchiMate and/or Public Cloud certifications is a plus

       Broad interest and knowledge, especially in the areas of Enterprise Content and Automation (ECA) or Know Your Customer (KYC)

       Proficiency in English (ING’s corporate language) and Dutch or French

       Behavioural competences: collaborative, communicative, innovative, manage complexity in a qualitative way

       Technical competences: special attention to data, privacy, security and ethics, in an autonomous way of working as go-to-person for business, engineers and architects

       Organization sensitivity

       Strategic thinking mindset

       Problem solving mindset

As an Architect, you will have the opportunity to:

·         Become the reference architect for an application domain with the possibility to extend your knowledge later on to other areas;

·         Build a career in the Centre of Excellence by specializing in a specific architecture area or growing to the role of Enterprise architect or taking a management role as chapter lead.

 

The team

You will be part of the Centre of Expertise Architecture, a team of about 40 architects, led by the ING Belgium Chief Architect, and directly reporting to the CIO. You will be involved on strategic initiatives and have the ability to influence the direction the Information System shall take and contribute to its steering.

The work is carried out in an Agile way of working with international collaboration with ING teams present on other countries.
