The Mission

Being a global company having in the strategy the delivery of a global platform for all customers, ING puts a lot of attention on the security processes and requirements. Following a strict set of security rules and processes, ING ensures that all platforms, user access procedures and security related tasks are in line with the security minimum standards.

Payments & Workflow Solutions area is responsible for E2E delivery of payments and core banking applications for our customers in more than 20 countries from all over the world.

The MCE payments squad is responsible for E2E delivery of payments solution for our customers in 20 countries from Europe and Asia and 3 Regional HUBS.

As an Operations Engineer, you will

• Contribute to development and deployment of MCE (Manual Channel Engine) application by working closely with the other team members. Embrace emerging standards on payments while promoting best practices in IT;
• Take ownership for deployments, integration testing, performance issue or incidents.
• Operating and close monitoring of the application. Run basic infrastructure operations. Take care of the transfer flows from/to our partners. 
• Find opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a key responsibility of the Operations Engineers.

• Working in Standby Support.
• IT Risk & security controls need to be put in place and accurately documented.
• Through Agile/Scrum you bring live new sprint releases every 2 weeks.

What you bring to the team

• 3+ years of IT Operations/Automation/Support experience
• Experience in automated testing
• Experience in deployment (CI/CD)
• Experience in PowerShell Scripting
• Knowledge in Microsoft Platforms (IIS, .NET, SQL)
• Experience in SQL querying for reporting
• Experience in Continuous Delivery technology ( Azure DevOps pipeline/YAML)
• Knowledge in Monitoring and logging tools (RTK, Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch)
• Experience or affinity with IT Risk & Security concepts - nice to have
• Good communication skills in English
• Strong analytical skills, proactivity and willingness to share knowledge with others
• A University degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics or equivalent - nice to have
