OPS Engineer - Windows

Job Description:

This role is critical in the day-to-day administration of the technology infrastructure, with focus on Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and Backup troubleshooting, supporting incident & problem management. 

Key Responsibilities:    

• Perform maintenance, upgrade and configuration.
• Create and update internal infrastructure documents including diagrams.
• Keep updated Disaster Recovery procedures.
• Secure systems by enforcing ING policies and standards.
• Maximize performance by monitoring; troubleshooting problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with enterprise and systems architects on optimization.
• Reporting operational status by gathering, prioritizing information.
•  Any other duties as assigned by management.
• Rotate On call availability 24X7.

 Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or higher education
• 5+ years’ experience in the same role preferably within financial industry
• Experience gained within financial industry is a plus

Technical, Language and other Specialised Skills:

• Knowledge of Network fundamentals
• Knowledge of Monitoring fundamentals
• Microsoft and VMware latest certification is a nice to have
• Solid background in MS Clustering, VMware vSphere Hypervisor and Virtual Desktop / App Environment management in a complex environment
• Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) B1 or higher level
