Data management is vital for any company and proper data modelling requires a good understanding of all the activities of the bank

“After gaining a Masters degree in IT, I worked for several database and Business Intelligence consultancies.

Having gained a wealth of experience over five years in various sectors (Banking, Telecoms, Health, Industry, etc.), I joined ING Luxembourg in 2005 as a Project Manager in charge of implementing a Business Intelligence (Data Warehouse) environment. Thanks to this, the Bank can access integrated and coherent information to assess its business and monitor and plan its strategy in the best possible way.

In 2007, I took over management of the Business Intelligence skills centre. Since 2010, I have been running a new IT unit focused on the management of information, which comprises both the Data Management and Business Intelligence.

What I find most motivating about my work is the diversity that this position provides on a day-to-day basis, which enables me to act and learn every day. Data management is vital for any company and proper data modelling requires a good understanding of all the activities of the Bank.

What I also like at ING Luxembourg is its pragmatism. We provide the services of a universal bank but with the practical attitude of a small company. Everybody knows everyone else and the various decision-making levels are easily accessible”.
