Inspire, Connect, Perform and Lead
As a trainee you will complete an 18-month program with three different rotations. After those 18 months, you start in a fixed function within ING.
Both during the rotations and during your first years in your fixed position, you will be trained by the ITP program. Various events are planned over the years to guide you on your personal track.
The inspire event is a two day training program planned in the first two months after your start at ING.
The purpose of INSPIRE is to learn about the ING International Talent Program (ITP) and to get some first insights into Core Banking and your track specific trainings.
Besides that you will get to know each other better and develop your personal skills. At Inspire, all trainees from the different countries will gather for a truly international networking experience. Not only will you get to know your fellow trainees worldwide, you will also have the chance to meet some of our senior executives.
To get you up to speed with the banking fundamentals and our organization we will introduce you to ING’s different business areas, our Think Forward strategy and the shared culture; “The Orange Code”.
Expect hard work and intensive trainings, but also a lot of fun and the perfect setting to get Inspired about the world of ING.
In your second year at ING, you will participate in the Connect event; a two week training program hosted by ITP.
#Connect is the next step in becoming one of the next generation ING managers or experts. We expect you to be an ambassador of our Think Forward Strategy and a role model for the Orange Code. #Connect supports you with a program that includes Core Banking Skills (CBS), Personal Skills and again a track specific part.
In this program, we expect you to challenge contributors and peers on topics that impact and drive the ING strategy!
Perform is a ‘hands on’ two week training, planned in your third year at ING. In a simulation game you will take on the role of an executive committee member and run a bank with your fellow board of directors. You’ll experience what it’s like to set a strategy for the bank and execute it through business and financial decisions. Here you will learn how to evaluate the impact of your decisions on the bank’s profitability and other factors determining bank performance (such as risk management, marketing, personnel etc.).
Next to the banking simulation game, you’ll enjoy further personal coaching sessions.
Lead is the last event for every participant in the International Talent Program and concludes your traineeship with a celebration. We will take you offsite to a beautiful place in nature where the aim is to deeply reflect on your personal leadership style. Everything you learned during the soft skill trainings and personal coaching sessions of the traineeship will help you in thinking your career path and ambitions forward both personally and professionally.
