An enthusiastic, analytical person who has an interest in data quality management, with a background in Data Quality or Data Management and preferably with banking experience, to work in Data Quality Non-Financial Risk within the dynamic and complex environment of Data and Analytics.

Within ING, a Data Quality Pillar has been established to ensure that ING Bank has trustable data which is fully fit for the purpose (timely, complete, accurate, adoptable, comprehensive, consistent, and appropriate), facilitated by a state-of-the-art data architecture and IT infrastructure.  As part of this function, Data Quality role(s) have been established with the responsibility to implement data quality management for the non-financial risk function.

The Data Quality Specialist works with data owners, data stewards, operational teams, IT engineers and other functions within the bank. He/She drives the Data Quality definition, measurement and monitoring, analysis of Data Quality issues and propose Data Quality remediation actions within the bank, as well as contributes to build a culture of continuous improvement in Data Quality.

You act strategically and you know how to solve data quality related problems.

Additional skills include:

  • Expertise in the area of Data Management;

  • Preferably experienced in the financial or consulting sector and/or non-financial risk domain;

  • Effective communication of (data quality) requirement with business and technical colleagues;

  • Excellent (English) verbal and written communication skills;

  • Able to work under pressure, capable to meet certain deadlines;

  • Team player with a passion for delivery and customer satisfaction a “can do” mentality and ability to see the big picture;

  • A Master’s degree in any relevant field is an advantage;

  • International experience is an advantage.

Job description 

As a data quality professional, you will be responsible for the implementation of the data quality framework for non-financial risk. Tasks include:

  • Collection of data quality requirements amongst the different non-financial risk stakeholders in order to define Data Quality functional requirements and standards;

  • Creates data quality reports, translates data requirements into data quality rules and performs root-cause analysis of data quality issues;

  • Drives remediation of data Quality issues and performs ongoing monitoring;

  • Provides advice on data quality related problems.

Work environment

You work closely with the non-financial risk and data quality teams based in Amsterdam and Manila.
