The Tribe Wholesale Data Management is a central component in the ING Think Forward Strategy. It has been established in the COO Domain to ensure that ING Wholesale Banking has trustable data which is fully fit for the purpose (timely, complete, accurate, adoptable, comprehensive, consistent and appropriate), facilitated by a state-of-the-art data architecture and IT infrastructure.

As Market Data Demand Manager you are responsible within ING to manage demand for global contracts of externally bought market data by collaborating between Business, IT and Procurement cross domain and business lines. You act as a trusted advisor for our business partners, advising them on the most efficient market data products for their requirements. During the lifecycle of contracts you review and challenge the global inventory of products and contracts. This involves pro-actively collaborating with the business to improve efficiency in cost and delivery while maintaining or improving compliance within the licensed terms of the owner.

If you can:

  • analytical skills to construct business cases around global market data products and contracts
  • Exceptional organisational sensitivity, communication skills and persuasiveness to organize buy-in of business stakeholders to execute these business cases
  • Design Thinking which drive execution of the business cases and deliver excellent results on efficiency and cost savings
  • Ability to form strategic partnerships throughout the organization to effectively steer the strategic market data vision
  • Always act with integrity to all stakeholders by balancing requirements, usage and contract between users and vendors, while finding more efficient ways to use our existing Market Data products
  • Extensive knowledge on the market data products and how they are used within financial organizations
  • Experienced in cost optimization exercises in large financial institutions with significant impact.
  • Good knowledge of the agile way of working, but also has a pragmatic approach how to combine this in areas where close collaboration and transparency is a must
  • Has the ability to handle escalations and work under pressure of different stakeholders and management
  • Fosters trust and sets expectation that differences are embraced within the Tribe

If you are good at:

Challenging market data spend by monitoring and translation of usage data into actionable business cases

Leading translation of business requirements into a set of proposed solutions when multiple stakeholders are involved

Maintaining an overview of product details in our Market Data Product Catalogue

Maintaining our contract inventory in Infomatch

Declaring usage towards applicable vendors

Execution of market data audits of 3rd parties

Seeking cost saving initiatives by optimizing the portfolio of market data contracts  Providing input on strategic vendor selection

If you are :

A Professional who posses the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business and Finance
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills, with prior experience working collaboratively in a cross functional team
  • Ability to analyse issues, determine root causes and developing solutions for improving stability of data operations
  • Skilled in communicating complex topics and solutions and open to ideas from others
  • Comfortable working in in an international context
  • Transparent, flexible and motivated to make every day a success
  • Share and adhere to the ING values of honesty, prudence and responsibility
