Business Manager

The Business Manager for ING Hubs PH will provide strategic and execution support to the Country Manager and the ING Hubs PH Management Committee members on the projects and initiatives that are in line with the ING Hubs PH Priorities 

The Business Manager for ING Hubs PH will spearhead strategy development and implementation of initiatives across business lines working closely with the Country Manager and the Functional Leads.

The Business Manager is expected to do the following:

· Draw up, implement, guarantee and monitor internal business processes and act as a linking pin across business units to enable effective and efficient operations

· Build effective partnership with internal and external business units to help drive the business towards establishing and maintaining a culture of growth, service excellence, and support the company as it strives to deliver its business, product and people strategies

· Pilot initiatives in several business units and scale up implementation to the rest of ING Hubs PH, working closely with each business line’s Leadership Team; some of these initiatives are as follows:

  • Client segmentation
  • Digital transformation (i.e. client apps)
  • Deep dive on financial drivers especially for allocated costs – Infra Recharge, NL Tech Recharge, MDS vs Actual Users
  • Budget reforecast, DP review and monitoring across WB domains (Data Management, Technology, Regulatory Operations, Products)
  • Internal framework and observe governance for migrations with less than 1 FTE (change request) as this has now out of scope of the Migrations team
  • Efficiency vs Book of Work analysis and monitoring
  • Functional footprint analysis
  • Team Performance analysis via scorecard

Main Tasks / Important Responsibilities and Results

Strategy and Policy

  • Contributes towards the development of strategy and policy, formulates policy in policy documents and contributes towards implementation
  • Contributes towards the delivery of a quantitative/qualitative MTP, coordinates the MTP and launches follow-up actions. Ensures management reports and control information are put together
  • Highlights opportunities and analyses problems detected; follows up on these matters. Suggests and implements improvements for internal business processes

Project Management

  • Advises and supports the Country Manager &/ Management Committee members in implementing projects
  • Prepares, socializes and monitors project plans
  • Sets up evaluation strategies and measures of success for every initiative
  • Organizes and facilitates planning and working sessions with different leaders across ING Hubs PH
  • Performs (project-based) tasks upon the request of the manager and/or MT of the business unit, whether or not this is in connection with a point for improvement or a problematic situation.

Operations and Processes

  • Coordinates with local (Circle Leads, Domain Process Leads), Regional and Global teams to define and execute strategies that will help create efficiencies and further develop client experience
  • Linking pin with other supporting ING business units and initiates actions
  • Provides management and/or control information relating to operations
  • Identifies synergies across domains to work through strategic solutions for wider WBP, including but not limited to organizational design, role migrations and financials
  • Closely monitors the team’s dynamic plan relating to financials and process migrations, depending on the need, working closely with Local Finance, Shared Operations et al

Communication, Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Is point of contact in communications from and to various stakeholders for specific initiatives
  • Can act on behalf of the manager and/or MT when the occasion arises
  • Can represent ING Hubs PH in global &/ stakeholder meetings
  • Optimizes communication within and between business units
  • Develops and maintains a network within the organization

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management in the organization in a multinational environment
  • Has change and transformation experience
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership or business management role
  • Experience in Financial Shared Service and Technology industry is a plus
