Events & Internal Communication Intern

Stage | Risk Management | Student | Amsterdam | 2019-09-16 | REQ-10021870

Are you looking to kick-off your professional career with meaningful projects that cover a wide range of communications activities?

Model Risk Management is looking for an Intern for its Community team to start in as soon as possible for 6 months (with an internship agreement delivered by a school/university).

What you’ll be doing

This is not your average middle-of-the-road internship! You will be trusted with relevant projects and given sufficient support, but you will be left to navigate the waters on your own. Tasks will vary widely and provide the opportunity to gather work experience across many facets of communications, engagement and community building

  • Methodically drafting, reviewing and publishing internal news to all staff
  • Figuring out stories worth telling – and writing them in short deadlines
  • Creating content and continuously improving our interaction with stakeholders
  • Collaborating with other key communities, within ING or elsewhere
  • Designing events (set objectives, execute events, coordinate measurement and follow-up) and ensuring buy-in from necessary stakeholders – and then, of course, you’ll attend the events (even during the evening or the weekend) to coordinate all participants (internal and external)
  • Coming up with a whole bunch of ideas, new tools and best practices.

What you bring to the table

- University degree in a marketing and communications related field

Knowledge, skills and abilities

-  Basic understanding of marketing/communication tools and techniques

-  Project management and problem-solving skills

-  Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven tasks simultaneously

-  Strong verbal communication and organizational skills

-  Eye for details and focus

-  Good judgment and team skills

-  Flexibility and proactivity in taking on assignments and responsibilities, and willingness to learn

-  Being confident with Adobe CC suite for video editing and graphic skills are a plus

-   Fluent and professional in English, both verbal and in writing

-   Knowledge of other languages, like French, German, Polish, Turkish or Italian would be an advantage
