Your role and work environment

 

Client Outreach Team KYC Brussels is the new environment where all questions concerning File Enhancement KYC & the Workflow tool are handled by a self-organizing Customer Loyalty Team (= CLT). The heart of this organization are these CLTs that consist of around 11 Members, guided by a Circle Lead and an Agile coach.

KYC means know-your-customer and is a mandatory verification of private persons and legal entities. The background is the prevention of money laundering, economic crime and terrorism. The purpose of the Client Outreach Team KYC Brussels is to keep ING Belgium´s business safe and compliant with local and international regulations, while keeping a focus on the easiness and transparency for the customer (internal and external).

The main focus of expertise will be on the required KYC screenings to ensure all client KYC records are compliant with regulatory standards, and will ensure high quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements.

Your key responsibilities

As a Client Outreach Team member, you will be responsible for the contact with colleagues & clients in all KYC matters linked to File Enhancement. We offer support to our colleagues in regards to technical questions concerning our workflow tool, but at the same time help them with their questions concerning KYC and the Customer Due Diligence, this while meeting internal deadlines.

  • Work on an independent basis, analyze files and answer both orally and written questions
  • You will interact with clients to obtain KYC and other compliance information and documentation and review for completeness and accuracy
  • Work together with the internal colleagues to achieve the client information in time
  • Independently monitor your own files within the desired timeframe
  • Not shy away from working in a rapidly changing, complex environment, and from helping to roll out new processes
  • Support for the internal clients & colleagues
  • Work as a Team Player, and put the interests of the team first
  • Report to a Circle Lead, but work independently within your team

As a KYC Client Outreach Team Member you will also need

  • Bachelor / Master level
  • Experience is not necessary, but experience in banking and / or regulatory affairs: Know Your Customer, (e.g. Financial Economic Crime), fiscal transparency and reporting (e.g. FATCA, Qualified Intermediary, Common Reporting Standards, Ultimate Beneficial Owner) is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch, French and English (working language as well oral as written)
  • Strong communicative skills
  • Strong analytical and administrative skills
  • Organized and structured, attention to detail
  • Driven and customer focused, loving to collaborate with different people
  • Problem analysis and judgement (recognizing important information, identifying problems, researching and making connections)
