Job description

The DevOps engineer bridge the gap between development and operations, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement. The mission of the role is to continuously improve the delivery pipeline promoting and implementing practices, architectures, tools, technologies and automations underlying the DevOps culture. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase the efficiency of the SDLC supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, developing deployment and configuration management automations and improving the test automation platform.
  • Develop and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines templates and automations to improve efficiency increase the software quality and reduce risk.
  • Enable and support container-based microservices architecture, supporting the adoption of containerization, collaborating with dev teams to create and maintain containerized applications, ensuring efficient orchestration and monitoring of microservices.
  • Take part of architecture and development teams activities supporting principles, practices and patterns underlying the DevOps culture.
  • Stay current with DevOps tools and technologies and promote innovations into the Tech area with passion and in a proactive way. 

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchain in complex scenarios (preferably Azure DevOps)
  • Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages such as Java/Groovy, Bash, Powershell, Python.
  • Hands-on experience in usage of automation of infrastructure and configuration management automation platform (preferably Ansible and Terraform).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of monitoring platform (preferably ELK and Prometheus/Grafana).
  • Knowledge of versioning system and build and package management tools (preferably GIT, Maven, Helm).
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience and majority of it preferred in a direct retail operation/finance or a consulting firm working for a direct retail operation.
  • Strong Personal management (task assignment, tracking and quality assessment).
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
