Formerly known as ING Tech, as of 2022 we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities under the name of ING Hubs Romania and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj.

With the help of 1400 engineers, risk and operations professionals, we offer 150 services in tech, non-financial risk & compliance, audit and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide.

The Mission

ING is looking for driven Support Ops Engineer to work on the multi-asset trading platforms. The in-house built high-performance pricing systems, together with the vendor-built trading, quoting systems, time-series databases and complex event processing engines are key platforms for the real-time low-latency landscape in scope of the growing Financial Markets domain.

ING is using this environment to connect to a large amount of trading exchanges, worldwide to offer the sharpest pricing quotes and executions to our clients. Therefor these systems are on dedicated infrastructure in special datacentres located near the key markets, like Eurex, MTS, etc.
With the further digital transformation of pricing and trading, it is an important cornerstone of ING Financial Markets IT. You can be a key asset for ING and an important part of this journey to make it successful with us all.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Manage the application and integration with other data suppliers.

  • Resolve incidents raise by the stakeholders

  • Responsible for the release of the features in production.

  • You take ownership of issues, improvements, and new functionalities

  • Deliver features in the application requested by stakeholders

  • Proactive monitoring of the functionality of the application (creating scripts to monitor the application and the infrastructure of it)

  • As part of a cross-border Squad, you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Product Owner

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience: 3+ years of industry experience in IT, experience in the financial industry is a plus

  • Tech stack/ knowledge:

    • Mandatory:

    • Linux (Redhat) scripting - PowerShell, Bash

    • Databases (Oracle)

    • Ansible

    • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTTPS

    • Nice to have:

    • Continuous Delivery tools, like Azure DevOps (or other similar solutions AWS, GoogleCloud)

    • Prometheus, Grafana

    • Agile Methodologies

    • Experience with the responsibility and execution for the incident, problem and change management for high available systems, as well as risk control and configuration management

    • Python

  • Foreign languages: English (advanced)

  • Education: Bachelor and/or Master level in Computer Science or related
