ING is looking for a Transaction Services (TS) Sales (Vice President / Director) with strong Trade & Working Capital background to join TS Sales in Switzerland.
As a TS Sales professional you will grow primarily Trade & Working Capital Solutions, as well as our daily banking offering for Wholesale Banking clients and prospects. An energetic individual with drive and thorough understanding of the TS products & solutions and Treasury Operations, owning and managing prospect deals until signing of the mandate.
The TS Sales sell the full suite of TS solutions across the network for Trade, Working Capital as well as Payments and Cash Management and the Bank Mendes Ganz offering (part of ING).
The main products are Payments & Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Finance, Guarantees, L/Cs, Documentary Collections etc.
Tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for generating new TS share of wallet deals with existing clients as well as with new clients across different sectors, including the specialized Commodity Trading industry
You will deliver on challenging but specific revenue targets and client profitability within the ING risk framework and appetite
You will manage end-to-end: identifying the lead, pitching, structuring and executing effectively and efficiently – together with Deal Team members including the specialized TS Cash and TS Trade Advisory & Structuring teams, as deemed fit
You will negotiate our TS solutions and pricing agreements with clients by carefully and transparently balancing client expectations, cost of sales and cost of service, as well as the risk appetite of ING
You will be responsible for improving and maximizing the cross-buy of TS Solutions
You are a trusted advisor to your clients and prospects and work closely with key internal colleagues and stakeholders including Parent Account Managers, Local Account Managers, TS Sales colleagues in the network, the TS Cash and TS Trade Advisory & Structuring teams as well as Trade Operations, Client Services, Implementation Management teams and Product Management teams
You will be responsible for operating under our KYC guidelines
You will attend (client) events to position the ING TS value proposition and keep informed on key trends
Education and Experience
Higher education or University Master's degree preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance
Excellent commercial skills and able to excel in originating TS opportunities
Prior experience in originating and structuring Trade and Working Capital Solutions
Fair knowledge of or affinity with the Commodity Trading industry
Profound and in-depth understanding of Cash and Trade solutions for complex clients
Knowledge of or strong interest in credit approval processes e.g. credit applications, risk management (financial and non-financial) and relevant legal and tax regulations
At ease with managing time-sensitive projects with a large number of stakeholders
Experience with KYC related processes
Excellent near- native fluency in English in both written and speaking, plus additional language French and/or German are preferred.
