Job Description

As Credit Risk stageur (SAS specialized), your primary responsibility will be to support the Credit Risk Area through ad hoc analysis, data extraction and reporting.
We are looking for a candidate who is proficient in analysing and visualizing data using SAS, combined with a quantitative background.
The resource will be part of the Data and Reporting team within the Retail Credit Risk Team that covers the full area of lending to Retail customers based on portfolio approach acting as second Line of Defense. The responsibility of the team ranges from portfolio performance monitoring and reporting, risk cost and RWA optimization and forecasting. ING Bank Italy portfolio consists of Residential Mortgages, Credit Cards, Overdrafts, Personal Loans (PL) and Cessione del Quinto (CQS).

 Key Responsibilities

  • Support to Design, develop and maintain database structures
  • Automate and enhance reporting and analytics and shorten the turnaround time
  • Support data-driven strategic decisions on Retail propositions by analyzing, interpreting, elaborating data, visualizing and presenting results
  • Support the data reporting and analytics process with proper governance and documentation and keep the data quality at a defined satisfactory level. 
  • Collaborate with other risk functions to identify business opportunities and improve system/process efficiency.


  • Hold a degree in Statistics/Economics/Engineering or Computer Science
  • Preliminary experience in an analytics or data science 
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Science (SAS Base)
  • Affinity with data and querying these data with SQL is a must
  • Fluent in English 

As a plus:

  • SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9, is a plus
  • Knowledge of credit risk and related regulations
  • Knowledge Database, Datawarehouse (Access, Oracle – SQL)
