Product Manager - Pricing (m/f)

 

ING Luxembourg is looking for a Product Manager - Pricing, who will be working in the Pricing Team (part of the Tribe Daily Banking). The aim of this Pricing Team is to offer fair, proactive and efficient pricing services for all products (Current accounts, Cards, Savings, Investments, Mortgage…) to all ING customers (Retail Banking, Private Banking, Business Banking and Wholesale Banking) to create value while keeping the bank safe.

 

 

Purpose statement

 

Your mission is to support the realisation of ING Luxembourg strategic objectives (business or regulatory) by optimizing the value creation for ING and its customers, with price (interest levels & fees) as a very powerful means to create impact (on profitability, customer behaviour, balance sheet management, perception and reputation).

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Putting in place and managing the pricing governance (interactions with Segment / Tribes / Risk & Legal departments, Support functions, ING Group…).
  • Preparation, animation and presentation of the monthly Pricing Committee.
  • Define pricing strategies in collaboration with Tribes Lead and Head of Sales and other ING entities.
  • Develop price positioning, structures, levels, and practices that fulfill the business strategy.
  • Undertake data analyses and interviews and ensure that all suggestions for improvements and solutions are validated by data.
  • Build the skills, capabilities, tools and oversight to sustain those benefits over time.
  • Optimise price structures and levels on the basis of the value perceived by customers and competitive dynamics, while taking into full account all product costs and risks (e.g. differentiate pricing by segmenting customers, according to such criteria as willingness to pay and value to the business).
  • Monitor and improve price realisation.
  • Initiate and develop market/competitive landscape research.
  • Analyse price sensitivity, churn and Lost-won deals.
  • Support predictive modelling.
  • Can be involved in resolving customer complaints & incidents.

 

 

Your profile

 

Competencies / Behaviour:

  • Ability to manage a very diverse set of stakeholders with very different priorities.
  • Being curious, invest time to master your end-to-end processes and stay up to date on markets trends, risks and product information.
  • Knowing what is going on with the customer, put himself/ herself in customers’ shoes, assess the wishes and needs of customers and anticipate on this.
  • Having strong analytical & judgement skills to recognize key information, identify problem, establish connections and validate before acting.
  • Having deep knowledge of the customer’s business and banking processes and integrate acquired knowledge into performance of tasks.
  • Ability to develop a long-term vision.
  • Ability to take initiatives to improve processes and ensure that creative ideas are implemented.
  • Supporting the agile organization & to perform as a team, trust and encourage each other and give feedback to promote continuous improvement & team development.
  • Focusing on what you’re good at as your role covers a wide area of activities.

 

Experience:

  • Master or Bachelor degree, with at least 3 years of experience in a project management job.
  • Specific knowledge of some of ING banking products (daily banking, savings, lending, investments, insurance) are required.
  • Knowledge in Lending products would be an asset.

 

Languages:

  • Fluent in English & French.
