a Point of Sale Lending Tribe Lead, reporting to the Global Head of Retail Lending.
Job description
You will be responsible for driving the Point of Sale Lending business for ING. You will be driving the overall strategy and engaging the organisation to achieve key customer and commercial goals. Core duties include:
Launching Point of Sale Lending across relevant ING markets
Overall program management, including creation of business plans & launching in new countries while maintaining programs/relationships in those countries that have already launched
Key representative of the program in official committees and governing bodies
Management of the POS team comprised of Customer Journey Experts, IT delivery/architecture experts and Business Development Managers
P&L and KPI responsibility
Management of vendors and key merchants
Management of program technology and integration in relevant markets
Thought leadership, guidance and coaching in Product Management
Your work environment
You will be part of the global retail headquarters team - a highly diverse and international group – based in ING’s brand new Cedar office. The job offers the opportunity of travel to ING’s retail businesses in Europe and Asia.
Your profile
10+ years of experience in Product Management; international profile is a strong asset
5+ years in leadership positions within a POS environment with strong people management skills
If you don’t have experience in POS lending, then a proven track record of launching a business line/product from scratch, in addition to outstanding product management expertise
Strong communication skills; ability to effectively influence key executives and project sponsors
Sales-minded and a strategic thinker
Proven track record of project management, execution and impact in a complex environment
Comfort with and high-level knowledge of IT infrastructure in the context of lending – ability to learn IT concepts quickly in order to engage in discussions with relevant knowledge

Skills required
Essential Desirable Education
Bachelor Degree or higher
Technical skills
Demonstrated depth of experience in the fundamentals of product management and project execution
Fluency in all Microsoft Office tools – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Competent with AGILE way of working
Ability to interrogate business cases and build strong business plans
Ability to interrogate and negotiate complex contracts
Ability to perform thorough competitive analyses, identify trends and incorporate the findings into successful strategies
Sales management and target driven steering
Mastery of mobile customer journey experience and how to translate that into value for customers and profit for the organization
Previous experience
Experience in a relevant leadership role, managing a high performing team with P&L responsibility
Expertise in launching new banking products or delivery of key projects
Experience in a customer environment where the customer needs are at the heart of any proposition

General knowledge of consumer lifecycle (i.e. what brings customers in, what products they use, how they use them, what products they buy next and what service is expected)
