ING is looking for Trading Risk Quants for the Trading Risk Quant Team in the Financial Risk Model Development department.

We are an energetic international team of highly qualified professionals.

Our area of expertise is FM Trading pricing models, market risk and counterparty credit risk in the Trading book.

We are part of the Financial Risk Model Development department, which comprises of a large team of modelling experts: Balance Sheet Risk, Credit Risk and Market Risk in IRRBB and Trading Risk models, with state of the art modelling methods, tooling and data-processing technologies.

What you'll do

  • design  methodologies for internal risk models by combining derivative pricing methods with portfolio modelling techniques. This includes risk factor models for Value at Risk (VaR), Incremental Risk Charge (IRC) modelling, Market Risk Economic Capital and Stress Testing models, Counterparty Credit Risk simulation models, Additional Valuation Adjustment (AVA),  risk-not-in-model methodologies etc. The model development process often requires prototyping in some programming language.

  • provide quantitative support to risk managers and traders (in the risk modelling context), integration of the new products/pricing models in the existing risk frameworks, development of tools to provide insight into model choices, analysis of the methodologies used for P&L explainer or market data proxies.

How to succeed

You have:

  • A PhD or a MSc in a quantitative field, preferably (financial) mathematics,  econometrics or physics;

  • 2-5 years of Quant experience and familiarity with derivatives pricing, risk models and the most important market and regulatory developments (for e.g. CRR, IBOR transition);

  • Familiarity with Incremental Risk Charge (IRC) modelling is a plus;

  • Familiarity with FX and Credit derivative pricing is a plus;

  • Strong knowledge and experience with programming languages, preferably C++ and/or Python;

  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English; and

  • Constructive attitude and pro-active team player.
