A day in the life of a Full stack Java Dev Eng

  • Delivering innovative, reliable and high quality business to business solution for Daily Banking landscape.
  • Streamlining our development process all the way from code check-ins, peer code reviews, static code analysis, to running automated regressions tests
  • Improving our continuous integration, increasing our automated test coverage, and helping us get to the next level of maturity with respect to Continuous Delivery

·         More than 5 years of Java software engineering experience (design, develop, and maintain) with Experience in Java 11, JAX RS, Jersey, Spring Boot, other Spring frameworks such as Spring Batch, JPA, HTTP, REST API’s, mTLS, javascript, Lit-HTML , node.js also and JSON.

·         Very good understanding of cloud-based platform Openshift / Kubernetes and Solid knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar, Git, Maven

·         Good knowledge of docker also along with Kubernetes Elastic, and Kafka

·         Experience to write the Unit Test, Integration tests using Junit.

·         Good communication skills in English and Strong analytical skills, proactive attitude.

The team

ING is rapidly transforming from a traditional bank into a next-generation digital bank, where more and more journeys are being digitalized. In the Digital First Area of Channels Domain, we seek an enthusiastic engineer with a passion for digitalisation, to ensure that all demands from our businesses and related to different transformation and digitalisation programmes are implemented within the expected timelines and with expected quality.

You will analyse and translate the demands in a clear development and delivery plan within respected timelines. You will work in multidisciplinary squads with other team members such as front end & back end developers, feature engineers, product owner and chapter leads. As a developer you will contribute in providing solutions for the requirements but on top you will also play a central role to bring all pieces together and create overview and uniform approach from technical point of view.
