Lead DevOps Engineer

ING Australia is looking to add a "Lead DevOps Engineer" with experience and in depth knowledge of software application development, Agile methodology as well as being a team player. Reporting to the Chapter Lead – Continuous Delivery, you’ll part of the team that's building the Bank of the Future.

It is a hands-on, multi-skilled role with exposure across application lifecycle management, architecture, technical design, application development, technical testing and infrastructure competencies. You’ll be joining a very friendly team with huge opportunities to learn new technologies and keep your knowledge up to date with market trends.

This is a ideal role for someone who is willing to face new challenges and finding answers on his own if need be and with a passion on solving issues. You are a team player; you enjoy leading by example while being open to accepting others’ ideas.

What you’ll do…

  • Provide operations and infrastructure support to the software delivery teams
  • Create new tools to support applications monitoring integration and delivery.
  • Maintain application configuration management repositories
  • Actively contribute to and expand our Continuous Delivery (CD) capabilities
  • Develop tools and automate processes to improve the infrastructure and operations team's work efficiency

What we’re looking for…

  • Demonstrated development or infrastructure experience.
  • Experience working with CI/CD, Azure Devops.
  • Good working knowledge of Container Technologies, Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Experience with languages and tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Ansible as preferred.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB)
