{Dev}School - InfraOps Edition

{Dev}School is an intensive hands-on training programme on your favourite technology fully sponsored by ING. It was launched in autumn of 2015 and now it reached the 13th edition.

About {Dev}School

{Dev}School is all about developing your Infrastructure skills in an intense and fun learning experience. During this training: 

You will learn:

  • how to perform system troubleshooting and problem-solving across ING platforms and applications;
  • how to automate recurrent tasks which are currently performed manually by Ops team.

    You will enhance hands-on experience working with:

    • Orchestration and Configuration Management tools: Ansible and Puppet;
    • monitoring and analysis tool: Zabbix and Grafana;
    • log management tool: ELK
    • applications such as Jboss and Apache.

    Also, you will enhance your scripting knowledge

    If you successfully complete the training programme, you could put your skills at work in our Infrastructure team in ING Bank.

    Here are the logistical details:

        • It will host;
        • It will last for , between 
        • It will be organized in(Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3 hours/day, in the evening).

      What we are looking for in {Dev}School

      We welcome any IT passionate who is:

      • A student in final study year or a recent graduate (2 years max, Bachelor or Master) of Computer Science/Cybernetics University;
      • A logical thinker, who has a good eye for details;
      • A good team player;

      If you…

      • Enjoy  looking at a Linux terminal for large amounts of time;
      • Enjoy thinking about system information (e.g. disk space, CPU, OS, Kernel)

      and system level functionality (e.g. SSH, proc, cron, swaps etc.);

      • Are a novice in basic networking skills;
      • Passionate about scripting (Bash/Python);
      • And have good command of English.

      What happens after graduating {Dev}School

      These are the things that will count in deciding whether we work together after the programme in ING Bank:

      • – the trainer’s positive feedback on your class interactions and attendance;
      • - very good technical resulets during the training programme;
      • to work full-time/part-time (flexible work schedule).
