As an Dutch speaking SME adviser, you serve SME entrepreneurs in your area across the board. You are the face of ING in the local business market, and together with your team you do everything possible to further strengthen ING’s position as the preferred banker for entrepreneurs. With you on board, this team responds to customer needs with a personal, honest and open approach to provide customers with optimum support in achieving success. You also have an important role in proactively ensuring new business customers stay with ING. For this purpose, you enter into multidisciplinary partnerships with advisers from the ING Vermogen, Wonen, Private Banking and MidCorporate units.

The role and responsibilities

You find out what the customer wants and advise on which products and services are most appropriate. Independently handling credit applications from start to finish is an important aspect of your job. • You identify opportunities among prospects and proactively expand our customer base. • You act as the face of ING SME Advice by actively maintaining and expanding your internal and external network and by being visible in the local market. At ING Business Banking we have around 150 advisers across the country, working in 12 regions. You will work from an advisory branch, but will also regularly visit entrepreneurs on location. As an adviser, you do not have a fixed customer portfolio but step in on a transaction basis. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of around nine enthusiastic and driven colleagues at your branch. In this team, you will work together with advisers from Kantoren, Vermogen, Private Banking and Wonen according to the Agile method to bring new ideas into being fast. This vacancy is for the area Den Haag & Groene Hart. You will report to the SME Advice regional director.

As an SME adviser, you also have the following:

  • Higher Professional Education (HBO) level of professional and intellectual ability
  • Five years of proven experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of business lending and acquisition, and commercial success
