We are growing our global Growth & Careers team and are looking for an experienced, passionate and committed individual to join the team. Reporting into the Global Head of Growth & Careers, this new strategic role will steer the design, development and end-to-end execution of a significantly upgraded digital learning experience as part of ING's new global University.

This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of learning at ING. You’ll be a key leader within our Global Growth & Careers team, setting the standard for digital learning experience at ING and aligning across a complex stakeholder group to deliver a consistent, best-in-class experience at Enterprise level.  

You will be working closely with the Global ING University lead, a senior leader learning steerco, leads of 10+ global (business) Academies, CPS learning team, all country and domain T&L leads and learning teams, DPOs IT Risk, HR Data Management across our 44 countries.   

 

Roles and responsibilities 

With our employee experience at heart, you will be the expert in digital learning design and the effective use and implementation of modern learning technology, who sets the standard for global learning teams and our business learning Academies. Steering the design, development and end-to-end execution of significantly upgraded digital learning experience as part of ING's new global University is at the core of what you do.   

In this role, you'll get to: 

  • Own the design and development of a significantly upgraded ING digital learning experience- a key enabler to effective business-driven upskilling and reskilling. Implement across all global Academies in the new ING University; including delivering learning design standards, brand alignment, user interface, consistent evaluation framework, data infrastructure and reporting.  

  • Steer the implementation of global learning technology stack. Define business requirements for new technology and advise on technical requirements, including complex data infrastructure to drive more personalised learning experience and integration with talent management, performance management and career development. Optimise current technology in first year while designing for new technology in year 2 and beyond. Effectively manage vendor relationships to ensure value for money  

  • Ensure full adoption of new learning standards and fully optimised new learning investments, including owning, designing and delivering tailored upskilling programs for learning leads across all Academies and learning teams. Accountable for digital learning reporting, data analysis and evaluation, to steer interventions and provide clear, relevant insights on results. 

  • Provide specialist learning advice across domains, countries & academies, leveraging global frameworks and standards, assessing & resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions. Build relationships with, and empower and upskill, country and domain Heads of Talent & Learning and academies and their teams to make impact locally.

  • +10 years of significant and comprehensive job related experience within HR / Learning & Development, ideally in a corporate matrix organization environment and learner centric digital learning & development roles.  

  • End to end understanding of linkage between business strategy, capabilities, integrated talent practices and impact. 

  • Experience with enterprise level learning solutions, skills models and their practical application, and industry leading learning platforms, technologies, tools. In-depth understanding of external regulation, and industry best practices. Experience with Accessibility standards for digital learning a plus (or commitment to learn, as ensuring accessibility of learning for all is critical for ING). 

  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to manage partners, influence broader organization and drive enterprise level learning transformation. 

  • Strong project management skills; proven experience creating impact via company-wide projects across global locations.
