WB Tech Change Expert Professional

WB Tech is looking for an experienced Change Expert who combines deep technology knowledge and IT risk subject matter expertise with a proven ability to drive and oversee day to day execution of WB Tech change initiatives throughout Wholesale Banking.

The WB Tech Change Expert orchestrates the delivery of complex change initiatives across functions, tribes and borders to deliver transformational change for WB Tech enabling WB Transformation mainly in the key future/nextgen enabling technologies like Public Cloud, Test Automation, (Gen)AI, etc. mainly focused on improving time to scale and market.

The team

WB Tech has the cross-domain accountability for ensuring timely delivery of enabling tech capabilities/roadmaps throughout all Wholesale Banking delivery organisations. WB Tech also consumes services from the Central Tech domains like Tech Infra, Banking technology Platform, as well as Group Services. You will be working closely with the IT Lead sponsor attached to these initiatives and will be a frequent visitor to WB Management team sessions to bring everybody on board. Close interactions with the CIO as well as other IT leads is expected. You will have access to subject matter experts to ensure the right content and sequencing can be done. Theses SMEs will be spread across the WB tech domains/locations across the world. Beyond WB Tech you will have to liase with teams in ING Tech and/or partners. Topics will be mainly focussed on increasing efficiency in delivery: Automated Testing, (Gen)AI, Public Cloud initiatives, etc.

Roles and responsibilities

The WB Tech Change Expert will:

  • Lead and coordinate the planning, execution and monitoring of WB Tech change initiatives, while maintaining alignment with WB Chief Transformation Office managing the must win battles of WB and ING CTO managing the must win battles of ING Tech.
  • Translate complex cross Tribe requirements into well-defined objectives, key results and Definitions of Done, and define actionable next steps and/or demands for delivering parties.
  • Ensure seamless integration of WB tech enablers into WB Transformation delivery plans, including but not limited to sourcing, procurement, scalability of processes and solutions where applicable.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans for projects to identify relevant stakeholders, to develop positive stakeholder relationships, and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice.
  • Build a compelling storyline to showcase the change initiative’s contribution to ING and WB strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate possesses the following skills and competences, but do not hesitate to apply in case you do not tick all boxes yet:

  • Engineering background – A Bachelor’s study will be valuable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IT delivery and change execution. Success stories related to Public cloud strategizing, Automated testing delivery, Gen AI transformation will get extra brownie points (software engineering experience is a plus).
  • Proven track record in project management in a collaborative setup with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and deliver outcomes in alignment with defined objectives and key results. Knowledge of using tools like Azure DevOps and Servicenow will be handy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into tangible solutions and actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Holds the ING Orange Code in high regard and applies a variety of Orange behaviours to deliver tangible results.
