About {Dev}School

{Dev}School is all about developing your programming skills in an intense and fun learning experience. During this edition, we will focus on the most used programming language, Java. This edition could be your starting point, where you will learn:

  • Design patterns, clean code, unit testing and the Agile way of working;
  • Basic notions about cryptography applied in Java (encryption / decryption - symmetric / asymmetric, hashing, etc.);
  • How to automate the creation of a deliverable (jar) and sending it to production;
  • Spring Framework notions: connecting to a database, creating a REST application, etc .;

If you successfully complete the training program, you could put your skills at work in our IT Team in ING Tech.

What we are looking for in {Dev}School

We welcome any IT passionate who is:

  • A student in final study year or a recent graduate (2 years max, Bachelor or Master) of Computer Science/Cybernetics University;
  • A good team player and a logical thinker, who has a good eye for details;

and who has

  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP);
  • Good understanding of algorithms and/or programming in any of the following languages: Java, C, C++, C#;
  • Basic knowledge on databases concepts;
  • Good command of English.

We are waiting for you to join us and to:

  • Learn Java and related concepts in a program entirely sponsored by ING.
  • Apply everything you have learned. Yes! At the end of the edition, following a selection process, the most talented candidates will have the opportunity to join the ING team in ING Tech.

What happens after graduating {Dev}School

    These are the things that will count in deciding whether we work together after the programme in ING Tech:

    • Your Progress – the trainer’s positive feedback on your class interactions and attendance (audio & video);
    • Your Results - very good technical results during the training programme;
    • Your Interest and Availability to work full-time/part-time (flexible work schedule).

    Recruiting Process Timeline:

    • You can apply until the 21st of October
    • If your CV is selected, you will participate in an online technical testing phase in the 22nd -24th of October weekend
    • If you pass the testing phase, you will participate in an interview scheduled by us somewhere between 25th – 29th of October
    • The selected top 10 students will start their {Dev}School adventure on the 2nd of November
