Australia’s most recommended bank is looking for an experienced Team Leader – Reconciliations to join our exciting Payment Services Team. 

Our Reconciliations team are responsible for reconciling and clearing assigned transactions processed through various clearing systems. Our Officers investigate, follow up on outstanding and uncleared items, create and transmit return and refusal files in accordance with industry procedures and ensure transactions are promptly processed to customers’ accounts.

As the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for inspiring, developing and maintaining a high performing team within a dynamic a fast paced environment. You’ll also provide leadership, coaching and development to staff, alongside managing their day to day operations. Additionally, you’ll also manage team workflow to achieve service levels to the agreed quality standards, while ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

  • Set team and individual objectives that are aligned to the strategy and vision of the organization.
  • Create individual development plans and provide coaching and support to all team members.
  • Management of team workflow through allocation of appropriate resources so that all client requests are actioned within agreed SLAs and meet quality standards.
  • Monitor individual and team productivity (contribution) levels within agreed benchmarks. 
  • Roster a risk management culture within the team where incidents are identified, reported and rectified in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Represent the team on project working groups and contribute to process improvement.   

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in a team leadership role within financial services. Experience within treasury or payments will be highly regarded.
  • The ability to create and foster a collaborative and engaging team environment
  • Experience coaching and developing staff members, as well as setting and managing expectations.
  • The ability to handle difficult or challenging conversations in an empathetic and professional manner.
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills to meet SLAs and quality standards. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
