Analytics Engineer

We are looking for you, if you:

• have hands-on working experience with SQL, Python, Spark,
• know how to develop data processing scripts using PySpark,
• have solid understanding of DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD, monitoring,
• have knowledge of data manipulation and transformation,
• have broad knowledge of data management, relation databases, data modelling,
• know how to translate business requirements to technical solutions,
• have excellent communication skills, writing and verbal in English,
• are eager to learn more and proactively acquire knowledge.

You'll get extra points for:

• experience in setting up and optimizing both SQL and noSQL data stores, as well as familiarity with object storage services (e.g., S3),
• experience in working with Agile / Scrum,
• comfortable working in the international and cross-functional teams,
• experience working in cloud environment (e.g., Azure DevOps, GCP).

Your responsibilities:

• develop data processing scripts using SQL, Python, PySpark (incl ETL flows),
• building scripts and logic according to business stakeholders requirements,
• design, build, and maintain our big data infrastructure,
• data visualization and data modeling (PowerBI, Apache Superset),
• troubleshoot data issues, providing robust solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability,
• document technical specifications, procedures, and outcomes,
• improve data products based on customer feedback,
• ETL pipelines maintenance and updates.

Information about the team:
You will work as a data engineer in our core Analytics squad – Client Services (CS) within the ING Analytics Wholesale Bank Global Tribe. The squad provides curated data on Wholesale banking (WB) clients via various channels that include API, dashboards and databases. Target audience is everyone in WB who wants to use data to build products, automated services, dashboards, reports, and models. You will be part of the squad consisting of the data analysts, engineers, and product manager.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
