Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Architecture Expert Lead to join our Lending & Investments Architecture Team, reporting to the Chief Architect.

The responsibility of this team consists of guiding the organization in the definition and application of the technology strategy in the Lending & Investments areas, by designing the business architecture and working together with the Tribe Leads and the rest of tribe members.

You will be leading a team of architects with different areas of expertise, with a strong functional acumen in the loans, mortgages, insurance and investments, savings domains and deep technical understanding.

You will have to create a culture of collaboration, transparency, responsibility, and excellence, helping other to be successful, staying a step ahead and guiding architects in your team to improve and grow.

You will lead the co-creation of the Architectural Designs at different temporal horizons, defining the target architecture, the foreseen transitions and the next iteration, considering both the business and the technology strategy and combining Global and Local systems. You will also contribute to the roadmap definition, providing guidance to the business and delivery leadership and assessing the impact of the main initiatives at the inception phase.

You will hold the role of Enterprise Architect as well. As part of this role, you will have to ensure the consistency and coherence of the tech landscape in the company, keeping it aligned with the strategy and ensuring tech transformation happens in a daily manner by working closely with Tribe Leads.

Your key responsibilities:

As an Architecture Expert Lead you will:

  • Lead the Lending & Investments Architecture team, supporting and developing its members through effective knowledge sharing and guidance, and promote the OAWoW culture.
  • Ensure team members have appropriate competencies and skills by continuous improvement of their skills, craftsmanship and the area of expertise.
  • Provide guidance to engineers, managers and architects to improve their skills, by defining design patterns and best practices.
  • Foster the use of standards across the Architecture CoE, contributing to the improvement of the whole team.
  • Analyse market trends and derive the relevant and for the future necessary adjustments in the craftsmanship.
  • Positively contribute to the vision in the Architecture CoE, introducing and nurturing innovation within it.
  • Co-create and define technology strategy and reference architecture.
  • Guide the team in creating designs that fulfil functional, non-functional risk and security requirements.
  • Experience in Microservices Architecture, API design, Event Driven Architecture. Knowledge of Domain Drive Design principles and methodology.
  • Ensure target state definition and roadmapping to help company evolve, working hand-by-hand with Tribe Leads, minimising technical debt and waste.

  • 7+ years of experience in architecture teams.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience within an agile organization.
  • Ability to operate at own initiative with a pro-active attitude, within the directions and confines of management and bank policy.
  • Ability to liaise with a broad range of people, including line management, senior management, external suppliers and related people.
  • Problem solving ability and strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills. Fluent English both written and oral.
  • Accuracy and attention to details.
  • Experience working in a team, exhibits clear behaviour of a team player execution driven.
