 Business Analyst for Financial Accounting & Reporting

Overview:

COO Finance (COOF) is the department responsible for the central processing and reporting of all accounting events globally related to the Financial Markets, Treasury, Lending and Payments Services of ING Bank. These activities are executed in both Amsterdam and Manila. The latter location is in a growing phase and the number of activities is expected to grow further in Manila in both depth and broadness during 2024 and beyond.

The Management and Cost Accounting department is split in several teams responsible for the delivering change for different accounting and reporting applications of ING Bank.

Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform Functional Acceptance Tests to prove that requirements have been gathered and implemented correctly.
  • Helping and supporting users during UAT testing
  • Close cooperation with team in Amsterdam and local finance departments of various international branches.
  • Opening and closing reporting periods and uploading static data.
  • Provide daily support to user community by answering questions and creating training material.
  • Maintaining Operating Model
  • Maintaining mapping tables
  • Supporting Risk processes
  • Other support of the team/squad

We are looking for new team members with the following expertise:

Financial, Management or Cost Accounting & Reporting

  • Has a good understanding of Management Accounting, Cost Allocation, Planning and Forecast processes.
  • Is familiar with working in a change/project organization and is able to adopt knowledge quickly.
  • Is able to transfer knowledge to others
  • Is familiar and has experience with Oracle EPM Cloud or other Management Accounting tooling
  • Processing of monthly, quarterly & yearly closure procedures.

Communication & Stakeholder management

  • Ensuring internal and external stakeholders are informed about delivery of accounting & reporting activities during closings. And also being able to collaborate with them to explain and solve any issues.
  • Working with key stakeholders to align expected turnaround times for remediation, gaining approval for suggested remediation actions, and coordinating the appropriate action with the teams that are responsible for executing those actions and monitor remediation actions till closure.

If you are:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Equivalent
  • Technically savvy: able to learn how new systems work quickly, and  preferably experience of  testing for system changes
  • Knowledgeable on Management Accounting
  • Ability to work on tasks and manage own time to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in communicating on complex topics and solutions and must be open to ideas from others.
  • Comfortable working in in an international context.
  • Transparent, flexible, and motivated to make every day a success
