Data Management is one of the foundation topics of ‘making the difference’ to become one digital bank. The Chief Data Management Office (CDMO) is aiming to take ING's data management capabilities to the next level by further enhancing and implementing our data management strategy that stipulates how we want to govern data throughout the bank.

The Business Control Team has an important coordinating role between the second line of defence and CDMO. For this team we are now looking for Business Control Officer with a focus on privacy regulation, cyber security and artificial intelligence.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Business Control Officer coordinates the execution of the controls on non-financial risks, including collecting and registration of test-evidences. Furthermore, the Business Control Officer is involved in implementing, executing and maintaining the non-financial risk framework. The focus will be on data protection activities (related to the Global Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) in CDMO, more specific:

  • Coordination of the GDPR processes and execution of the process control standards
  • Communicate Key Control Testing instructions and timelines for GDPR testing
  • Register breaches, facilitate follow up and manage the events will be closed
  • Report on GDPR issues, analyse and share the outcomes
  • Participate in and perform Business Impact Analyses, Data Privacy Impact Assessments and Risk Control Self Assessments
  • Assist with the Quality Assurance processes on GDPR
