The mission

As a DevOps engineer you will play a crucial delivery role in the FM world for commodities and pricing engines. You will be responsible for creating and improve the traders experience for the applications we provide.

Your day-to-day job will consist in providing and improving the ways our traders interact with the commodities and pricing engines on day-to-day bases. Creating a smooth deploy and maintenance of the applications.

As a DevOps engineer, you will be part of an Agile environment by being a member of a multidisciplinary team of 3 specialists. Your colleagues have a rich background in DevOps activities and on Risk ones.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Create pipelines to automate release or different other activities in Azure DevOps.

  • Proactive monitoring of the functionality of the application (creating scripts to monitor the application and the infrastructure of it)

  • Resolve incidents raise by the stakeholders.

  • Deliver features in the applications requested by stakeholders.

  • Responsible for the release of the features in production. 

  • Applying patches to the platform.

  • Create and maintain the external connections.

  • Providing the necessary information for IT Risk

What you bring to the team

The role is for an Engineer who enjoys software development and IT operations.

You will work on software that will stand the test of time, actively contributing to the whole lifecycle of the product.

You love to:

  • Prevent and solve technical problems regarding stability, capacity, and performance of the system

  • Deliver on promises while keeping good communication lines with clients and partners

  • Can-do mentality, flexibility, and ability to take ownership

  • A collaborative approach to solving problems while bringing positive energy to the team

  • Ability to give and receive professional feedback

  • Relentlessly learn and think in solutions

  • Affinity for data science.

  • Knowledge on the following technologies:

    • OS: Linux/Windows Server

    • CI/CD tooling: Azure Dev/Ops with Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes nice to have.

    • Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python

    • Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabix – nice to have

    • Networking: Basic network knowledge and how firewall and load balancers works

    • Database: SQL Server

  • Experienced in incident management, can perform under high time pressure.

  • Can understand both technical parts and application chain and good relation with the customer.

  • Perform risk management, change management.

  • Willing to work during the weekends when needed. (2 hours/per month)
