The Mission

The Global Identification and Verification (ID&V) framework provide a standard way to identify, verify and authenticate the customer with a framework to implement and plug in id&v means.

As a Software Engineer working in the ID&V Services, you will be responsible to develop, deliver and to innovate on all lifecycle processes and features of ING’s Touchpoint Platform. 

Together with the other teams (squads) within the product area of authentication services you strive to provide uniform authentication and security across ING to safeguard the trust with our customers.

The squads of this product area are working at ING Hubs Romania and this position is for Bucharest.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Manage the application and integration with other data suppliers;
  • Create scalable software platforms and applications that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration;
  • Examine existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve service uptime and time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation;
  • Plan and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations;
  • Design and build tools and frameworks to automate development, testing deployment, management and monitoring of the company’s 24x7 services and products;
  • Plan and scale distributed software and applications, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with urgency and quality;
  • Resolve incidents raise by the stakeholders;
  • As part of a cross-border Squad, you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Product Owner.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience: minim 2 years;
  • Tech stack/ knowledge:
    • Mandatory:
    • Really good knowledge and experience of Linux OS fundamentals and virtualization concepts;
    • Experience with container orchestrations platform such as Kubernetes or OpenShift;
    • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Maven, Gradle and preferably Azure DevOps;
    • Good experience of well-known OSS monitoring tools (such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus) as well as dashboard creation;
    • Experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef, and automated deploy on both container and non-container platforms;
    • Good knowledge of at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby);
  • Nice to have:
  • Basic knowledge of Scrum / Kanban and Agile methodologies;
  • Experience with distributed teams;
  • Foreign languages: English (advanced);
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field .
