Formerly known as ING Tech, as of 2022 we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities under the name of ING Hubs Romania and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

The Mission

The aim is to provide a foundation for global development solutions and features for WholeSale Banking clients of ING Group. This will enable us to unlock synergies between countries in the digital transformation and SREP Team is one of the most productive and mature team within ING WholeSale Banking area responsible for many strategic projects.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Develop frontend applications by using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript;
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards;
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of front end components to ensure seamless functionality and user satisfaction;
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in front end development, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the user experience;
  • Work closely with the development team to define and refine technical requirements, and project timelines;
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability;
  • Accustomed with an agile way of working, participate in SCRUM ceremonies;
  • Working with Azure pipelines for CI/CD.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience: minimum 3 years of experience
  • Tech stack / knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS;
    • Experience writing unit tests, familiar with tools like (e.g. Mocha, karma, Chai, Sinon);
    • Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js, Svelte) and a solid understanding of its core principles;
    • Experience with front end build tools (e.g. Webpack and Rollup).

  • Nice to have:
  • Working experience with TypeScript;
  • Familiar with Web Components, Custom Elements and Shadow DOM;
  • Write functional tests by using Playwright and Cucumber.js;
  • Basic understanding of Accessibility;
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Foreign languages: English (advanced);
  • Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field.
