Platform Engineer

We are looking for you, if you:

• are an ambitious Ops/Platform Engineer who can add value based on his/her in depth technical knowledge,

• have strong experience with Red Hat Linux Administration,

• are experienced with Incident Management,

• have experience with Application Servers like Tomcat,

• have experience with web servers such as NGINX, Apache etc.

• have experience with Monitoring and Alerting solutions (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Alert manager),

• are experienced with working in an international environment,

• are analytical and investigative by nature,

• have networking/infra knowledge (cloud, firewalls, XFB).

You'll get extra points for:

• basic knowledge of relational databases, e.g. Oracle,

• knowing Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies and attitudes,

• understanding about Software Architecture, security, networking, Distributed (cloud) storage, AWS S3, GFS etc.,

• working experience in Pega Administration and/or other JVM based applications is a plus,

• experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Perl, Ruby, Bash, Python, PowerShell,

• experience with CI/CD,

• configuration management/deployment with Ansible.

Your responsibilities:

• operational responsibilities (incident/service management and compliance),

• automate routine tasks and ability to optimize code and infra,

• help your team grow and think of ways to make solutions scalable and future proof,

• maintenance and development of a VM-based environment, support for migration to container and cloud solutions.

Banking has changed dramatically over the past years. With ING’s Think Forward Strategy, we are creating a differentiating customer experience, we are providing a Process Automation Platform (using Pega software) 40+ countries to enable our strategic ambitions.

The purpose is to productize our process automation capabilities to the rest of ING word wide. The Process Automation Platform/One Pega Platform provides a standard and easy way to digitize processes and providing process automation capabilities like workflow management using Pega BPM software. Part of our Platform as a service model, we are providing to our customers services like: Software reusable components, Infrastructure, Life cycle management, Pipelines, Self service capabilities, and Architectural designed guidance, in order for them to build on top of the Platform their customer journey applications, helping them with the heavy lifting of the activities that are not a differentiator in their value proposition and providing them with great opportunities for re-use cross teams, domains and countries.
