Mission

As a System Analyst/Feature Engineer, you will work on multiple and various projects, in relation with several banking application, internal processes, complying with several business needs: on the technical area, the functional area, as well as on the non-functional and methodology area. In an agile environment, a Feature Engineer will be responsible for translating the business requirements into complex and comprehensive functional and non-functional specifications.

The analyst will be responsible for identifying and extracting the relevant data from various sources, cleaning and processing it, and transforming it into efficient and straight forward solutions. Our projects are complex and engineering experience or experience in the banking sector is considered a plus.

Your day-to-day

  • Gather and clarify software business requirements;

  • Translates business requirements into technical design solutions, ensuring the granularity of an epic/feature/user story level;

  • Analyses the impact of the new business requirements on the existing systems/implementations and overall IT environment;

  • Participates in Agile ceremonies, being the main facilitator when clarifications and new requirements are being presented/discussed;

  • Takes part in the refinement process of the requirements to ensure they are appropriate for the squad to deliver within a sprint (two-week interval);

  • Provides support for the team during the development phase in order to deliver the best technical solution;

  • Builds and executes the functional testing strategy in order to fulfill the acceptance criteria. Together with the QA, builds relevant testing documentation (test plans, test suites, test cases) and agree which test cases should be automated;

  • Participates and presents in demo sessions;

  • Troubleshoots errors, identifies solutions, or redirects them further;

  • Provide 3rd line support for production incidents (when needed).

What you bring to the team

  • Experience in eliciting requirements and creating specifications for application development: 4 years minimum; 2 years in a similar role. Relevant experience as Feature Engineer;

  • Good level of applied knowledge in algorithms, concepts of IT architecture, applied knowledge of database management systems, quality assurance, data analysis;

  • Problem-solving mindset, analytical skills and team player attitude;

  • A relevant Bachelor/Master degree, preferably in software engineering-related discipline or equivalent experience;

  • Professional, excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders;

  • Problem-solving mindset, analytical skills and team player attitude. Ability to cope with change;

  • Practical knowledge of Agile methodology;

  • Familiar with XML, XSD, JSON, WSDL, JSON Schema;

  • Experience working with REST/SOAP API's;

  • Experience in working with MQ integration processes;

  • Proficient in collaborative tools like Confluence/Jira/Azure;

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;

  • Knowledge of microservices - considered a plus;

  • Knowledge of creating swagger/YAML files/OpenAPI documentation - considered a plus.

Nice to have

  • Professional qualifications / training: applied courses of information systems design;

  • Applied courses of database management;

  • Work experience with banking applications/background in banking is considered a plus.
