Web Application Firewall Engineer

We are looking for you, if you:

• have at least 1 year of experience in one of following areas: Web Application Firewalls, Network Security, DC Network, Network Administration,
• understand terms like firewall, Load Balancer, ISP, 2FA, network segmentation,

• are familiar with dedicated solutions for protecting web applications/APIs - Web Application Firewalls,
• have very good knowledge of HTTP(S) protocol,
• have general knowledge and understanding of cyber threats,

• are interested in IT security and want to improve your skills in this area,
• have problem Analysis and Solving Ability to identify problems, analyse key information and make connections, in order to find appropriate solutions,
• have Influencing Skills to gain support for ideas and solutions relying on persuasion rather than authority in order to achieve organizational goals and objectives,
• are oriented on Result and Delivery to complete tasks and achieve results in an efficient, timely and high-quality manner.

English level - B2

You'll get extra points for:

• familiarity and experience with CI/CD concepts, knowledge of Terraform or Ansible. Experience in automation,
• security certifications like CISSP, CISA, CompTIA Security+,
• vendor related certifications (e.g. F5, Imperva).

Your responsibilities:

• implementation of WAF solutions and policies,
• automation of implemented processes.

Information about the squad:

The team is a part of ING Global CISO department responsible for IT security within ING group and provides services for many organizational units all over the world. It consists of 5 engineers with IT Security and network administration experience. Main tasks focus on implementation and maintenance of of network security solutions like Protective DNS, WAF, SSE. Moreover engineers provide wide support and consultations in the area of network security for new projects and technology implementations.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer IV”.
