We are looking for you, if you:
have experience with Linux/UNIX (incl. script programming), especially Redhat Linux.
have experience with PostgreSQL (or other SQL databases)
have basic knowledge of CI/CD
are already experienced operating, monitoring, and supporting applications
have analytical approach to problem solving
are being a strong team player with very good communication skills
can communicate in English, verbally and in writing
You'll get extra points for:
having experience with scripting languages and automation of manual activities (e.g. testing, deployment),
having experience with Go lang (or other programming languages),
have basic knowledge of nginx
having basic knowledge and experience in Agile (ex. Scrum methodology).
Your responsibilities:
70% - supporting, daily operation and applications monitoring,
20% - implementation, improvement and management, the release pipeline including automated testing (functional, non-functional),
10% - meetings (Scrum events).
Information about the squad:
For our cross-border team we are looking for an OPS engineer with a technical passion, oriented to work in the solution support and maintenance team. The team is responsible for supporting users of the Mattermost and Stack Overflow applications. Mattermost and Stack Overflow are dedicated to ING users and teams, for communication and automatic notifications from other systems.
By being part of our team you will actively monitor, manage, test and run the application, noting the detailed technical behavior and performance across all aspects of the application to proactively identify and prevent operational problems. You will also work growing the applications by enabling integrations or various other functions requested by the consumer.
The OPS Engineer is expected to understand the detailed workflow of the Application and the detailed technical behavior of Application Servers and Databases and will participate in the squads SCRUM processes.
