We are looking for you, if you:

  • possess Excellent Leadership Skills: You have proven your leadership abilities in previous roles, guiding teams to success and fostering an environment of growth and development,
  • have a Strong Background in DevOps: You have at least 3 years of hands-on experience leading DevOps teams, demonstrating your ability to manage both the technical and personnel aspects of the team,
  • understand Public Cloud Foundations: You are well-versed in the architecture, services, and best practices of public cloud platforms, and you understand how to leverage them for optimal software development and deployment,
  • know the Software Development Process: You have an understanding of the software development lifecycle and are familiar with agile methodologies and practices,
  • excel in Stakeholder Management: You are adept at building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with both team members and external partners or customers,
  • adapt Quickly to Change: You thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrating flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude in the face of challenges,
  • have Excellent Communication Skills: You can communicate clearly and effectively in English (B2/C1), ensuring that your team and stakeholders are always in the loop,
  • are Passionate About Working with People and Developing Talents: You find joy in mentoring others, helping them to reach their full potential while focusing on the quality and innovation of the products your team creates.

You'll get extra points for:

  • understanding various Public Cloud tools and processes,
  • knowledge of software development process and tools (CI/CD, GitFlow, Test Driven development, Everything as Code).

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct a talented team focused on Public Cloud Foundation services, including MS Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle. Ensure your team excels in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions.
  • Champion Craftsmanship and Innovation: Stay at the forefront of technology and industry trends to guide your team in mastering their craft. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, ensuring that the team's skills and methodologies are cutting-edge.
  • Vision and Skillset Development: Play a key role in shaping the future of our products by understanding and anticipating the skillsets required. Ensure your team evolves in alignment with our vision, staying ahead of technological advancements.
  • Team Growth and Development: Be responsible for expanding the team through thoughtful planning, recruiting, and onboarding of new members. Develop personalized learning and development paths to nurture talent and support career growth.
  • Ensure Quality and Excellence: Set high standards for your team and ensure these are met through coaching, assessments, and regular feedback. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of exceptional quality in all projects and services.
  • Collaborate Globally: Work closely with various teams across ING worldwide. This role requires strong collaboration skills to align efforts, share best practices, and contribute to the global success of our initiatives.

Information about the squad:

The Public Cloud team is responsible for maintenance and development of MS Azure and Google Cloud Platform services for ING entities worldwide.

 

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Chapter Lead Engineer III”.
