Senior Engineer for Accounting Solutions

We are looking for you, if you:
- have excellent knowledge of and experience in using Java, React JS and Spring Boot,
- have good experience in working with Oracle database (SQL/PL-SQL) and database performance tuning,
- have good understanding of solutions design patterns,
- are willing to learn Accounting domain and banking products specifics,
- have excellent communication skills in English (C1/C2),
- are excellent communicator able to work with analysts and architects and to present your work in a clear manner,
- are real team player able to convincingly bring forward your proposals,
- are able to work remotely from the other members of the team, product owner and chapter lead in a multi-national context.
You'll get extra points for:
- experience in the financial services industry and knowledge on banking products,
- experience and knowledge on Ansible and building CI/CD pipelines,
- knowledge/Experience with Aptitude Accounting Hub or any other accounting rules engine and product ledger,
- working knowledge and practical experience with Agile and Lean,
- being an energetic and driven expert with strong analytical capabilities using state of the art methods and techniques,
- actively keep up your professional knowledge and translate external trends in applicable knowledge. You are willing to learn from external consultants and have a drive to deepen your knowledge,
- being able to work in a multidisciplinary squad (consisting of functional analysts and technical engineers),
- continuously improve the way you are working and you strive to work as a high performing individual,
- actively ask for help and feedback and dare to give feedback,
- continuously improve yourself and you help your colleagues in their development by giving feedback,
- willing and be able to support users of the implemented or changed finance system in a supportive and friendly manner.
English level - C1
Your responsibilities:
- developing changes and new solutions using Java and Oracle,
- IT Solution design,
- IT Operations Support including preparing the releases and deploying prepared solustions.
Information about the squad:
As a Senior Dev Engineer you will be working in a squad composed of business analysts, system developers and a product owner. The squad aims to build central financial accounting hub system being a product ledger for the Bank. This system is based on Aptitude Accounting Hub and serves both retail and wholesale products of ING Group thus operates on very big data volumes.
The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
